A Certain Ratio

The pioneering punk-funks are joined by psychedelic dub-dance duo Holy Tongue

Hailing from Manchester, A Certain Ratio formed in 1978 and soon became mainstays of the legendary Factory Records. They pioneered the influential punk-funk sound on both sides of the Atlantic with such irresistible cuts as Shack Up. Yet the group have never rested on their laurels, releasing well reviewed comeback album ACR Locoin 2020 with its follow-up due this March, all promoted via their infectious live shows.

They are joined by Holy Tongue, a collaboration between percussionist Valentina Magaletti (Vanishing Twin) and producer Al Wooton (TRULE Records), brought together by a love of dub and post-punk sounds.
